Blog - Will AI Search Save Us?

Word on the street is that AI Search is a things that’s here.

AI search is set to affect a lot of organisations detrimentally, in particularly news providers.

However, where I see it being most effective is in business search. I just searched in Google for 'give me a list of 10 precision engineers in slough', and the top results were:

1. Yell
2. Cyclex
3. Yell
4. News Shopper (news)
5. The 7 (directory)
6. 192 (directory)
7. Actual company (in High Wycombe)
8. Slough-Berkshire info (directory)
9. Cyclex
10. Leicester Mercery (news)

But imagine if the search engine actually gave you 10 legitimate companies in a list? Imagine then asking the AI search for 10 more different ones?

This is nature of proper search that is in the interest of the user. Anyone familiar with County Industry will know that this is already how I have done it for 20+ years.

Google is not serving our best interests, and is instead lining its own pockets at the expense of everyone, especially the people that can't quite get organic search and whose pockets are not deep enough to compete in paid ads.

The stage is set for the destruction of Google and the delivery of results that work for all concerned.

Google has long since policed the internet, playing god, deciding who wins and who dies, often in the shadow of government influence, visibility filtering and the like.

Of course, thinking along the lines of common sense gets us nowhere. That would be like banning all cars over 1l engine size from central London to reduce pollution. That would affect the rich, and those in power. Not that I am a social justice warrior. Its common sense. Instead they target the poor, people that can't afford a new car. Thats beside the point, the point is that AI Search could give us real results and liberate countless players from Search Ranking Damnation, putting them fairly in a level playing field of 10 contenders.

Remember, it’s not what you see in the results, it’s what you don't see.

So, keeping it short, will we see real AI Search? Give me a list of ten MOT garages in West Drayton? Ten plumbers in Croydon? and getting a clean list, without bidding. Somehow I don't think we will see that, but a firm that could do that would be a boon to mankind and finally offer the wooden stake required to drive through the heart of the parasitical monster that is Google.

We could see a return to a time when people might consider getting a website as a good way to start a business!!! Of all things.
