Design Schedule - Holding Page & Budget Site

Both the holding pages and budget web site are quick and easy to implement, usually within a few days. You will be required to provide full content formatted simply and as required in the site. The budget web site can have upto 4 pages. Images must be web ready although file size reduction is carried out. Page volume is limited to the equivelent of one page of A4. The main banner will be based on your logo and an image if required.

Please note that the budget site is for companies that have no interest in anything more than getting a small degree of information on the internet for people that already know your web site address to look at. The budget site is not optimised for search engine traffic, submitted to directories or monitored in anyway. From experience, budget sites do not generate any traffic and from the base web logs can often be seen to experience NO TRAFFIC AT ALL. That means no new business enquiries. Only use the budget service if you are prepared for potentially no results. However, if you do not want new business but want current clients to see something on the internet then the budget service could well suit your requirements. One of the benefits of the budget service is that you can expect less spam and fewer cold calls because of the lower level of exposure.

A sample budget site can be seen here.

Meeting
In the majority of cases a meeting takes place at a clients premises where the nature of the clients requirements are discussed. However, it is important to stress that a face to face meeting is not required and TWS already have a number of clients that have never been met in person. The meeting generally lasts 1-2 hours followed by a photographic session where pictures are taken of the premises, and any associated plant, products or people.
Design
Based on the notes from the meeting TWS design 4 draft sites representing a range of graphic styles which might include a colourful vibrant option, a business option, something utilising the full width of the screen and a fixed width design. From there the client is invited to comment and the design process rolls on, usually integrating a fragment from each of the designs, some elements of the clients own visualisation, and reference to third party site styles until a design is agreed on. The design process can generate upto 20 drafts. The client has access to a support section on the internet where old designs are recycled, colour charts are available and a range of helpful tools are made available for addressing issues such as colour schemes, stock photography and a list of optional features that the client can choose from. The design phase can take about a week.
Content
Content is then developed. The full extent of the navigation structure is fleshed out and images are selected and prepared. TWS work primarily with Flash, MySQL, php and Java.Custom maps are made to suit the clients own particular geography addressing issues such as one way streets, low bridges, restricted motorway junctions, parking and the like. A review of the market is made to determine what other people in the same business are saying and doing. Does everyone else have downloadable product catelogues? Does everyone else have a credit application form? This review ensures that a TWS client is saying what people expect to hear and is not missing out on particular angles. Based on notes from the initial meeting, years of experience and a careful market review, TWS prepare content that aims to work for the client addressing relevant issues whether that be a stress on quality, technical competence, speed of service or aesthetic appeal.
Delivery
Once the design and content have been written the site is delivered to the internet. A key strength of the TWS service is the delivery to and mapping of the web sites presence on the internet. Each site is submitted to search engines and to all free directory resources. But that's not all. Careful tracking of the sites performance both across the search engines and within the directories is carried out. This intelligence is available to clients through a secure control panel. A directory overview details the free directory listings the site is included in as well as specialist directories where payed membership is required such as a professional institutes. This then allows a customer to determine the full potential of the internet's varied resources and make strategic marketing moves and monitor their success through a very simple to use system.
Management

TWS manage the site through out the year carrying out quarterly site reviews. Each day the whole TWS client portfolio is inspected for trends and general performance and notes made regarding ways to improve the sites performance which are then carried out at the next review. Clients have the option to request minor changes at any time through out the year, and in most cases contact will be made at each three monthly site review to determine if any changes were required. Changes can include address changes, new staff, new machine and capacity details, or alterations to specific sentences. The result of this management is that the site grows throughout the year, constantly increasing the customers return from the internet be that through sales, quality of service or increased market exposure. This management service also allows clients to instruct TWS to carry out Google ads or other advertising on their behalf. TWS offer 5 management options:

Full Autonomy over every aspect of the site (client has no time for web management)
• Moderate Autonomy over the site (client would like to know what is happening but no involvement)
• Standard Management: TWS balance the clients need to know with common sense. For example, TWS will alter grammar to correct mistakes, but will not rewrite paragraphs.
• Restricted Authority: TWS will not make alterations without requesting the clients permission first
• No Authority: TWS will not alter any aspect of the clients site unless directed

Conclusion
The sum total of this service, the design, delivery and management results in a website that is not only fit for its purpose but which can be monitored by the client easily. This is an important element because most web services do not allow the client such a transparent insight into the mechanics of their product. This in turn generates happy customers, trust and a higher level of awareness and understanding. Web sites are complicated affairs. TWS make it easy for customers to not only get out of the dark ages, but to slip stream straight into the fast lane often stepping clearly ahead of all their immediate competition. If you have any questions or want to either get a website for your company for the first time or develop and existing site then call now on 07745 466608.
